Hey All,

Looking to let go of the XL Rosco. Been going back and forth on it, and if I had more funds and space I'd keep it forever, but as it stands I've got too much overlap with my appaloosa. I will be leaving the SF Bay area in 3 weeks and dont want to ship it with me, or at all really so local sale only. Bought this bike from Kai last winter and its been a blast to ride for a time. I imagine theres someone around here who will also enjoy it.

Deets: Rosco Mountain Mixte XL, Designed by Will around some leftover 66cm hunqapillar forks. He talks about it in this newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/f28e84e9b815/summer-rivendell-frame-roundup?e=082d57593e Basically a drop tube hunqapillar, in his words.

Current Setup:
IMG_7307.jpg

60 tosco handlebar
inverted riv silver 2 thumbies
avid sl 2.0 brake levers and v brakes
11cm tallux stem
Rich built wheels, Velocity cliffhangers, son28/deore, 32 front 36 back
Schwalbe G1 2.25 tires, (can fit 2.4/5 maxxed out)
Upsided down schmidt edelux II, Seculex rear light (dyno)
Sugino/white industries cranks
monarch pedals
XTR front mech, XTR rapidrise rear mech, M900 series i think.

Everything is a little covered in headlands grit atm, but I did a deep dive clean to the frame on this bike in the spring and everything runs very smoothly.

I'm open to options, depending what somebody is looking for. Ideally, I'd like to sell it as a rolling chasis, FFHS + BB + the wheelset, but itd also be easy and convenient to do the complete. Here's what I'm thinking:

FFHSBB: 1400
FFHSBB + Wheels: 1700
Complete minus pedals, grips, water bottle cages, frame pump: 2800

Also open to working out a more specified package with someone if they want some things and not others. Be happy to have the xtr front derailer go with the bike since its clamp is for a big seat tube size.

Let me know if you have any questions.

A few extra details that I've gotten questions about:

I'm 6'2" with a 92cm pbh. Saddle height pictured is around 81cm. Cranks are 175. Overall condition of the bike is id say used not abused. This bike lived life as a commuter in NYC and here in SF, gone on bikepacking trips, mountain biked on single track. There is beausage: scratches, chips in the paint and the decals are torn, but no dents.

I think most prospective buyers will want to know the seattube and effective toptube numbers. Apologies if I missed them.

The bestest bike, the one to loan them all! As in anyone can ride this, from medium to huge.
The top tube (effective) is 65cm, seat tube’s 63-64cmish
❤️ this bicycle

Kai is on top of it, and has the right numbers ETT and ST! Kai I've had such a good time with this bike!

I've had a little interest but no takers yet, will be posting elsewhere soon. But for now here is a price adjustment:

FFHSBB: 1300
FFHSBB + Wheels: 1600
Complete minus pedals, grips, water bottle cages, frame pump: 2500

If you're interested but my numbers seem way out of line for a used bike like this let me know.
