What can you tell me about the fit of the current MUSA long pants now back in stock? (the tapered ones)

Always find buying clothes online risky. Most Riv stuff is cut generously but I'm probably at the upper end of the XL.
(235 Lbs 36-38 waist depending on cut, 6'3")

Dear Dan,

My experience with Rivendell: call and ask. They will steer you as straight as anyone can remotely.

My two cents -- they fit exactly like stretchy dickies.

I am 6'2, 220 (36/32 pants) and fairly stocky/broad (played rugby for a long time) and the larges are just tight enough to not be obviously 'riding' pants. They fit really, really well. So well, that I -- a person who rarely wears bike-stuff off the bike -- wears them off the bike a lot. Generally, I wear XLs (XXL in Euro-bike sizing) in things FWIW.

Not sure if that helps or not, but other than a glowing recommendation, that's what I can tell ya.

I'm 5'11", 32" waist and the Mediums are a little tight. I'd probably have been better off with a large.

I'll find out soon. I ordered a pair of L pants yesterday. I have a 33" waist and was worried the M's would have been too small since I am at the upper end of that size. Looks like I won't be able to return them for a different size since all but S are showing as sold out now.

Wow, Good for them to get some income. Ive been wanting to try some and expected them to sell slowly this time, but I got 2.

I’ve got 2 of the previous style in L, but never really wore them because they were a bit tight. I’m hanging onto them as a weight loss goal.

I wonder how many times they could sell out of the pants, before the market won’t bear them. I also wonder what else might return.

I liked the idea of the sweater, but I have really long arms and find it very difficult to find sleeves that fit. (I almost exclusively use a single brand from a single store, because they reliably fit.). I wish there was a way to try a xl or xxl on and return the sweater if it did not fit. If it fit well, I would have taken 2, especially with the long sleeve length. Given they seemed to want preorders only, I felt that test fittings was something they hoped to avoid. I expect this might return eventually, but fear they will shorten the sleeves.

I’d like the Jumbo Grabby to return, as the smaller one was handy on vacations, but I wish it were slightly larger for some trips.

I received mine and the L was a good choice for my 33" waist. I was a bit surprised about the lack of a zipper on them. I can see that being an issue the first time I'm wearing them after drinking a Super Big Gulp.

I wear mine pretty much everywhere all fall and winter (I'm clearly single!) and find the stretchy waistband solves the "need a zipper" issue.
