I'm thinking it's the Sycamore Canyon in San Diego. I used to ride there quite bit:

when i was just a boy in L.A. the devil would call my name and say go to Sycamore Canyon, eat some shrooms, and have a good time. The trees were magnificent.

Hi Craig. I'm in Tucson too. Just moved here last summer. We should get together.

One of the rules of the internet that I've observed over the past 25 years is that if someone posts something without giving a location, chances are 100% it's in California.

Chris on the other coast.

It’s the Sycamore Canyon in Ventura County on the coast, just north of LA.

I should also say the bike is a dream. I bought it for dirt but it’s also turned into my commuter now that I have a bike cage at work and so ride my Brompton a lot less. It’s a perfect city bike with the 1x and Billie bars and it can also go way out into the mountains, which makes it perfect for sycamore or any of the other canyons around.

The canyon Matt is referring to for those wondering where that is also termed Big Sycamore canyon, it's really West/NW of LA in Point Magu State Park, north and east of the geographic coastal Point Magu . It looks wonderful !!
