Dallas TX Area Riv Ride

Hello fellow Riv folks.

Five Rivendell owners in the greater Dallas area managed to meet up for a couple hour ride this morning , July 5th.

We were represented by two Roadini bikes owned by Jim and Jim, a Homer Hilsen owned by Luis, my Sam Hillbourne and new to our group, Stephen with a brand spanking new gold Charlie Gallop.

Several weeks back Stephen spotted a picture online of one of Jim's 3 Rivs and contacted him. Jim introduced Stephen to the rest of us and within a few days he was able to test ride several of our bikes and then order his Charlie Gallop. 

Four of us have occasionally got together but it was terrific to have a 5th Riv owner join us.

I hope we can continue to meet up and perhaps find other area Riv owners to join us.

Moderate temperatures for this time of year plus a nice cloud cover made for a most pleasant ride and great fellowship was enjoyed amongst all 5 of us.

Even though our ages range from early 40's to mid 70's its remarkable how a fondness for Rivs and similar bikes has brought us together and we have found to have much in common.

It's so enjoyable to visit and examine the other Rivs and see all the various parts,  wheels, tires, and accessories each adds to make their Rivendell just right for them.
