Hi all,

Does anyone have a current model 60cm Sam Hillborne they can measure? I'm looking for effective top tube (c-c) and stand over height with 42ish mm tires.

I'm trying to figure out sizing for current model Sams. I believe I'm right on the edge of sizing with a 89cm PBH/78cm saddle height. For reference, I'm 5-10, so long legs for my height. I called Riv and they said I could kind of go either 57 or 60, but (perhaps predictably!) thought I should size up.

Despite that advice to size up, I'm thinking the 57 might be better for me, as it would give more crotch clearance and intuitively better proportions in the top tube for someone with long legs for their height. For the record,  I'd like the ability to run drop bars, and would want them ideally above my saddle height.

Am I thinking straight here about sizing down? Any thoughts from other long-legged Sam owners? How high can you get drop bars on a tallux on a 57cm Sam?

Thanks in advance!

I have one of the new frames, 60. I did some quick measuring and came up with:
Standover with 38 gravel kings is 91mm toward the front and 87mm just ahead of the seat. The top tube measures on a level line back from the headset to the seat post, center to center, 61mm. Mine is set up with noodles and a tallux, 80mm, and have plenty of height. below is the setup, quick basement pic. I'm a 94pbh with a 36" inseam. Hope this helps a little. Feel free to ask any other specific questions. thought this would get you started. Not sure where you live but if it's anywhere near Denver you'd be welcome to come check it out.

Thanks to you both! @lugwork, Is that an old chart? The sizes are not what Riv is currently offering on the Sam.

Lance, thanks for the info. Out of curiosity: what's your saddle height (center of BB to top of saddle) in that pic?

It's 83.5. And I'm running a 170 crank. I believe mine is a 2019 or 20 frame so should be the current model.
