Hi everyone -

My 93 XO-1 came equipped with campy racing T. Everything is in good shape, but it has my least favorite ergo shifters. I'm wanting to upgrade to a thumb shifter or downtube. Does anyone have experience running the riv silver shifters and campy?

My 2001 Riv Road has Silver 1st gen barend shifters shifting an 80s Super Record derailleur and it works fine; any misshifts are totally attributable to the operator...since derailleurs themselves are not "indexed" I can't see logically why you can't use Silver shifters with the newer (than my SR) Campy Racing-T

I have a campy triple rear derailleur on my Riv Ram and use silver friction shifters. It works flawlessly.

Agree on the Silver version 1 shifters. No experience with a Campy but years of reliable shifting with a variety of derailers. If you like friction shifting then the Silvers are golden.
