We all have to manage critters on rides but this guy is 200 feet from my home in the middle of t gator coulee Valcourt.jpeg

He is at least 6 foot long.

They do not "as a rule" chase cyclists. .

I didn't get a picture because I was riding to catch my morning commuter train, but I saw four turkey vultures perched on the green way fence in Simi valley close to the Metrolink station a couple of weeks ago. I passed within 10 feet of them on my Platy! They were all facing the same direction so they had obviously spotted something they wanted.
