to RavenDB - 2nd generation document database
Hi,

We recently switched to RavenDB Cloud Cluster on Azure (Enterprise, 6 Cores, 24Gb Max Cluster Ram - Azure EU North) but are concerned that we are seeing constant "Extremely Slow Writes" warnings, sometimes up to 4 seconds to write 0.1Mb?

This even happens when we import data (either the Raven Sample DB, exported and then re-imported... or our own DB which is around 50k documents/5mb pre-import).  There is no load on the DB during this time.

Attached is a pic of the warnings, all occurred in a single import of the database.

Please advise?

Thanks
Leon

Hi

What is the machine disk type ? How many IOPS ?

Can you create a debug package (Go to Studio -> Manage Server -> Gather Debug Info) ?

Hi Leon,

If your cluster is managed through RavenDB Cloud, please open a support ticket through the cloud portal.
Usually, this is a sign that you used more IOPS than your subscription allows and your disk is being throttled by the infrastructure.

To confirm this, open a ticket and we'll check it out.
