Ventus 2c gear door spring question

Hello Everyone, I've got a Schemff-Hirth Ventus 2C and the left gear door spring has de attached from the left gear. There's a pin with a hole in it on the left side of the gear, is that where I attach the spring that leads from the gear door or did something that normally receives the spring fall off? I've attached two pictures, one is from the maintenance manual with a red arrow pointing to the pin and the second is a picture of the gear/spring and the pin is the #2. The #1 is the spring in it's buffer tube. Thanks for the help Everyone.
