Hey all,
I'm putting together a week-long soaring safari at Skylark North in Tehachapi this summer. The idea is simple — bring your glider, fly the Owens Valley and Tehachapi ridge, and share the experience with fellow pilots. We have about 11 interested so far.
We're looking at two possible date windows:
• July 1–6
• July 29 – Aug 3
Skylark has three Pawnees so tow capacity isn't an issue. We'd cap it at about 15 gliders. I'm planning daily morning pilots meetings with weather briefings, safety topics, and suggested tasks, plus a few group dinners in town. No contest, no entry fee — just a week of great flying with good people.
If you're interested (or even just curious), I put together a site with all the details — logistics, lodging, dining options, and some WeGlide flight tracks from last July that show what's possible out of L94:

There's a short interest form on the site. No commitment — just helps me gauge numbers and date preferences. Skylark also offers orientation flights with an instructor if you haven't flown the area before.
