A month ago, I decided I wasn't a glider pilot anymore. It was a decision simmering for two or three years, and I finally accepted the fact my interest was waning and the effort to fly wasn't worth it anymore. It was 51 years of good flying, good times, good people, and many adventures, so it's a bit sad, but I don't regret the decision.

Not everything that goes with the glider is listed yet, like the parachute, but I'll get those on the site in the next couple days.

Be well and healthy, Eric. You have given us motor glider pilots a wealth of knowledge that will be used for decades to come. Thanks for your work.

Enjoy your retirement, Eric………you sure earned it! If memory serves me You had a Standard Cirrus and I was flying my Duster, 50 years ago in Region 11………?
I hung it up 5 years ago at age 87 mostly because I just didn’t have the energy to do it anymore!

I'll echo those thanks, Eric, not because I'm a motorglider pilot (I'm not) but because amidst all the chaos and vitriol and storm on the old RAS group, you were a voice of reason. Best wishes on your "retirement." Watching the respected old names like yours and JJ's know when the time is right and elect to drop out gracefully is a lot better than witnessing the alternative.
