I takes much time to add containers through Rancher GUI and it is pretty slow if i have to perform any operations. Could you have solution for this issue?

Can you elaborate on slow?  Do you mean it is slow to enter the information in the gui or once you click deploy it takes too long.

I means once i click on add container and add it. It takes near about 15 minutes to pull and download one small container from dockerhub repo.

After 15-20 minutes it shows me that container is started.

Moreover Monitoring tab doesnt show anything and everytime it keeps on buffering.

Depending on your internet speed, downloading a repo can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. Once it's downloaded once, you wouldn't need to download it again as it's added to the Docker image list.

I dont think so its about internet speed. It is fast if i download it normally without using GUI and moreover i cannot execute shell on conatiner and also cant see monitoring. Both of them just buffering and shows connecting....

Oh no, that is not normal at all.  On average it takes about 1-2 seconds to orchestrate everything.  Pulling images takes the most amount of time and that is entirely based on your environment and the image.

If you deploy the same container to the host a second time, is it faster?

@Daren,

I deployed the same contianer to host without using gui and it is faster. So i really dont know why it takes time in GUI and Monitor tab still shows connecting....

Thanks, I'll look at that in about an hour.  The console not working is typically due to the fact that the web browser is unable to make a direct connection to the server on ports 9345 and 9346.

Thankyou daren for your reply. You can look into it and can test it by adding any container and also check monitoring and shell functionality.

Thankyou.

Sorry for my too much request of this issue. But finallly everything works including monitoring and what i found it if rancher server and rancher agent are on same network it works fast but with different network i have some issues. May be i will investigate later on if different network is and issue or not.
