TWO JRF and ONE SRF 

Positions under DRDO Funded Project

 

Applications are invited for the position of TWO Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and ONE Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the Department of Computer Science & Information Systems at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) sponsored research project titled XOAI: Explainability Evaluation and Out-of-Distribution Detection Toolkit for Artificial Intelligence Systems. 

 

Principal Investigator: Prof. Hemant Rathore

Co-Principal Investigator: Prof. Tarkeshwar Singh

Broad area of Research: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Cybersecuity

Duration of the project: 2 Years

Fellowship Amount (Rs.): 

·         Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (INR 37,000 + HRA per month) as per the norms

·         Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (INR 42,000 + HRA per month) as per the norms

Selected candidates will get a chance to apply for a PhD degree at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus (Rules of PhD program for BITS Pilani are applicable).

 

Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate in Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:-

1.      Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR/UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.

2.      The Selection process is conducted through National level examinations  conducted  by central Government  departments  and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. 

Desirable Qualification:

·         M.E./M.Tech./B.Tech./B.E. (or equivalent) in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or related field or M.Sc. in Computer Science or MCA from NIRF Top 100 institutes in the country.

·         Candidate qualified GATE or UGC/CSIR-NET

·         Knowledge of Machine and deep learning

·         Familiarity with basic concepts of  adversarial and explainable machine and deep learning

·         Proficiency in Python programming and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities

·         Two years of research experience in machine learning or cybersecurity (SRF Only)
