NEED !!! Radioberry components !!! 8:1 balun

Hi all

I am looking for 2psc of  8:1 Balun T401 manufaktur is MACOM MABA-010143-FLUX18...I have to pay 28€ for it at  Mouser.dk/..is there a cheaper way ????

this is the only parts I need to get my Radioberry up and run :-)

Hi Ben,

You can wind your own on a BN43-2402 core. Take a look at the Hermes-Lite schematic on which the Radioberry RX front-end is based:

I'm not sure about the Radioberry PCB, but the HL2 PCB has a dual footprint which allows for the use of the SMT part or a BN43-2402. Even if the dual footprint does not exist, you should be able to carefully solder leads to the SMT footprint.

Hi Ben,

Steve is right.

I do not have spare ones... but for the transformers you can use BN-61-2402 or BN-43-2402.

Using 0.2mm wire.

Transmit

In the schema the transformer T401 indicates a 1:1 ratio.

The antenna site use unifilar 6T winding the other site uses 3T bifilair winding => impedance ratio 64/64 = 1.0

Receive

The ratio for the transformer T402 indicate a 1:8 ratio but i actually build a 9:1 transformer

6T bifilair winding and a 4T unifilar winding => impedance ratio 144/16 = 9

The bifilair winding are used to make the middle of the transformer.

Is it possible to get these transformers?  If not i can send you some.

It is not impossible to get it....but paying 20€ in shipping is to much.... So I was looking for a cheaper way....so if you have 2 I can buy it would be nice so I can finish this radio. And pay via PayPal it would be nice 😉

I know that shipping is very expensive...here in Denmark if I have to send a direct Qsl card outside Denmark it cost 4.50 € (5.50$)
