Unable to post to twitter

Here's what I did (in Firefox 32.0.1 on Windows 7, Radio3 v0.60, signed in with Twitter only)

 - Clicked the R3 bookmarklet
 - Radio3 Page launches in new tab with text box filled in.
   - if I expand the "Title, Link & Enclosure" section, I see that the link has been filled in.
 - I edit the text in the main text box. (D Magazine's 40 Greatest Stories: Tom Landry's Dallas Cowboys.)
 - I click the Submit button

What I expect:
 - Link appears in the table on the page
 - Text and ling get posted to Twitter

What happens:
 - A javascript alert() dialog pops up with the text: "Twitter error: Status is over 140 characters."
 - The link appears in the table on the page
 - Nothing gets posted to Twitter

I found the problem. This is NOT a bug with Radio3. It's a very odd vestige that's left over from the Twitter that once was.

When Twitter's main interface was text messages, in order to send a direct message to another user, you would prefix your tweet with the letter 'D' followed by the username you wanted to message. The article I was trying to tweet started with 'D Magazine...', so Twitter was trying to send a direct message to @Magazine (whoever that is).

I did the old Twitter hack of placing a period at the front of my message. Ugly, but whatever.

I hope I haven't caused any unnecessary head-scratching and debugging. Carry on folks, there is nothing to see here.
