Folks,

Preparation for the McMichael Rally and a military equipment evening is being held on Thursday 10th July at Nick M0NPK's QTH (https://what3words.com/gifted.areas.beside ) . Postcode RG42 5ZQ should get you close. If you are unsure, just look for the 80 foot tower and impressive antenna arrays.

Start time is nominally 8pm but people may be there a little earlier.

It will be possible to leave gear to be sold on the club table in the "ham van" for transportation across to the rally site on the Sunday subject to space being available in the van (which it should be).

This will also be a festival of military gear so please bring along your "green" radios etc. to show off!

Power will be available so it will be a great chance to demonstrate equipment in action. Most likely we will try and string up some form of temporary antenna for whatever band is required.

As ever, many thanks to Nick for hosting this event!

Aside: if you are coming up to VHF field day to help set up, tear down etc. then remember to "think safety". Reasonably stout footwear is advisable; bring working gloves if you have them. A hat to keep the sun off, sun block and hydration of some sort would be wise. etc. etc.

Hi All,

The postcode for my QTH for tonight's meeting wrong on the email. Correct one is RG42 5QZ (not ZQ), Ryehurst Lane,  Binfield. Or call me on 07831-453578 if you need directions. Cheers NK

Kind regards,
Nick Kerner
