Web application with websockets

Hello

I'm looking into writing a web application in racket, and need to send some events from  server to client. As far as I've understood, I would need to use the websockets package for racket, and then use some javascript on the client side to handle the events. Is this is a good approach? And does anyone have any tips on how to add javascript to a racket web server in a good way?
