Hey Racer-X!
The Beverly CX race registration opens tomorrow, Tuesday, 8/1 at noon, I'm planning to register, cat 5, of course. Is anybody else willing to slog thru the beach sand and wrisk a possible bee sting?? C'mon, it's just more pain! Also, is anybody in this group planning on doing local races? I'm thinking of Boss Cross, Shedd, and maybe something else? WOuld be nice to have some company.
I am leading a charity ride at Willowdale, 9/16, Saturday. It's the fourth year I am leading this ride for the non-profit Save One Life. They send money and hemophilia drugs to 3rd world kids. Hemophilia is a bleeding disorder, and they are a very well run non-profit. David Alden showed up last year! Pizza and beer will follow the ride, and when you register they send you a box of bike goodies!! I'll follow up with a pdf flyer soon.
Thanks,
2n Glenn

I plan on signing up for the elite race (I’m Cat3). And I’d like to try doing some other races as schedule will allow, although we have a two year old so that schedule is tight…. I think I may do the Bear Brook Mountain bike race, which is either the week before or after Beverly, I don’t remember off the top, my head, which one

I've taken the rest of this year's racing season off, as I'm focusing Zone 2 riding to drop 20 more lbs and get in actual aerobic (vs. anaerobic the last 6 years of no progress training).

I'll be posting rides I do through here in case anyone is interested in joining me (though it's been a slow go, cycling between 10-12 mph in Zone 2).

Best regards,
Jason Gonzalez

Also, I can't make the Willowdale, as I've gotten rid of my Fat bike and am focused exclusively on road/all-road/gravel and randonueering

Best regards,
