Latinas Represent & New American Leaders Presentation: “Latina New Americans in State Politics: Representation, Progress, and Barriers” - Ms. Stephanie Lopez (Latinas Represent) and Ms. Shana Hardein (New American Leaders)

4p – 5pm

In 2025 Latinas Represent and New American Leaders released a unique report that analyzed how Latinas engage the political process. They found that in 2024 136 Latinas ran in general elections for state legislatures, which is arguably one of the larges showings for immigrant women candidates in U.S. history. In this conversation representatives from both organizations will unpack the various patterns, trends, and outliers that they found.

Looking forward to seeing and being in community with you especially in these challenging times.
