We have 2 queues that are showing as being in a stopped state. We have no idea how long they've been in this state as messages are still being processed through these 2 queues. What does this mean and is there any way to recover?

RabbitMQ: 3.7.10
Erlang: 21.2.3
OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.6 (Maipo)

Hi Lee,

It would be interesting to use the following command to see their state:

rabbitmqctl list_queues name state

Please re-direct to a file and attach the output.

Thanks,
Luke

Hi Luke,

This is stating we have more in a stopped state than what the management UI is showing. The very first one is showing as Idle in the UI for example.

Thanks,
Lee

I am guessing if you have upgraded the software versions to the latest the problem should get fixed. Thanks.

Hi Lee,

I don't really have an explanation for this at this time. If you delete and re-create the queues, it will fix the displayed state.

Just FYI the version of RabbitMQ you're using is over a year old.

Thanks,
Luke
