Qubes 3.2rc1 installation issues on a Lenovo T550

When I run the installer, it loads the initrd.img, gets to the line where it says dom0 has maximum 4 vCPUs, and the cuts to black and restarts the laptop. I have tried UEFI and BIOS, and have attempted using the text installer. Any ideas on how I might get the installation up and running?
