Hi I have found some new info relating to an old thread (~1 yr). What's the etiquette here: do I add a new reply to the old thread, or do I start a new one?

I ask because different forums I am on have different requests about this one! ... oh yes and because I have noticed ppl here have quite firm views about etiquette (eg top posting) and I don't want to offend ;)

Warmly
R~~

trueriver:
I think it is OK to reply to old threads since this is more a mailing
list than a forum.

- don't top post
Mailing list etiquette:
- trim quoted reply to only relevant portions
- when possible, copy and paste text instead of screenshots

I see no problem with replying to old threads, as long as the reply is
on-topic. Arguably, it's better than starting a new thread, because it
keeps the discussion in one place.
