Hi folks,

been a while since I have been here because there have not been many issues I could not overcome or workaround easily.

There have been a few issues recently that I have no workaround for.

1. The restoration utility.
- Instead of being thinly allocated, the images are now thick.
- Where they used to take up 7 GB on a 60GB maximum image, they now consume the full 60 GB when restored.

2. The USB-VM causes my laptop to have no USB available to it apart from the keyboard and mouse that are built in.
- I can't see any other things.
- Everything that is plugged in turns on then turns off and then is unaccessable via the usb-vm.
- When there is no usb-vm everything works properly through dom0.

3. I can't install SysV init. I don't want SystemD. If I wanted windows I would use Windows instead of Linux.
- Has anyone got a successful Slackware version running yet please?

4. Qubes VM Manager is still getting worse..
- I updated, and the RAM usage for it went through the roof.
- After not long it consumed 90% of Dom0 RAM availability.

- You have a memory leak in it somewhere, or else it isn't cleaning up the trash properly.
- I only have 27 templates, 13 standalone, 31 app vms, 5 proxy vm, 3 netvm.

- What is it that is happenning in the manager to cause it to consume so much RAM?
>- I am NOT running the graphs for CPU or RAM over time, so that's one issue that should not be there.

5. Firewall rules need to be able to be turned off/on at will, still having them in the list is good, but being able to turn them off when one needs to, would be an advantage.
- e.g. I have 12 rules. I want 10 active all the time and 2 to be able to be turned on and off when I need them to be on.
- Just simple check box's would be good.

6. The Manager has this stupid "enter the machine name to delete" when I try to delete a guest. I clicked the remove vm for a reason, a simple confirmation dialogue would suffice.
- Add in a ADVANCED USER feature that I suggested a year ago.
