Hi all,
Noob here. If I understand correctly, VMs in Qubes cannot output using the display port on my GPU, but only using the display port on my motherboard. This is because Xen does not support GPU virtualization/emulation. At most I can passthrough GPU to *one* of the VMs for computational purposes. But for display purposes, I still must connect my monitor to the motherboard display port only. Correct?
Regards.

the question of where the physical port is is unrelated to this.
if you pass a GPU to a vm, the vm can use it in whatever way it wants.
