I just installed R3.2 on a Toshiba Satellite. I had been running Debian 9.
The laptop has a 4k display. The fonts in the apps are very small. I found that I can increase the size of fonts for desktop icons.
How can I increase the font size on the apps?

Thank you,
Ray

I found that right clicking on the desktop produced a menu with the item Applications. This has a menu item System Tools. The included item here is Appearance. The tab in Appearance is Fonts. This is where it gets fun. The
Default font changes the fonts right on the app so it has instant feedback. At the bottom of this Appearance window is a Custom DPI setting. Luckily, I had a terminal open. Where I really had a challenge with font size is in the terminal. By increasing the DPI, the terminal fonts grew. They grew so fast that all the fonts went off the page. I just hit the Enter/Return key and it was aligned again. I increased the DPI to 164 and the terminal was just what I needed.

I hope this helps others. I sure it will help me the next time I reload the system and have forgotten what to do.

I've tried this, and the menus do change, but the apps don't. I'm unable to change the appearance on AppVMs, and the changes in Dom0 do not affect them. What can I do?

Hugo,

You have gotten farther than I have; I have not gotten a VM up yet. But I don't think that changing properties in dom0 will change anything in VMs. I would think this would need to be done in the VM. I wonder if it would work by doing it in a template.

Good luck,
Ray

I noticed that before I log in, there is a menu bar across the top of the screen. There are fouritems in the upper right:
The left most icon is a circle with the letters 'Xf' (quite small), clicking produces a radio button labeled xfce session.
The second is the phrase en_USutf8, clicking produces a list of languages.
The third is a stylized person icon, clicking produces two selection boxes, one for 'Increase Font F1', the other is 'High Contrast F2'.
The fourth is a power button, clicking produces a selection list including:
Suspend
Hibernate (grey)
Restart
Shut Down... Alt+F4

I did not detect a change at the desktop for either selection for xfce session.
The increase font selection only changes the font for the sign-on screen, not the desktop.

is an icon (too small to read) that when I click on it, it produces a window with two selections:
