devs - any plans to bring qubes os to power9?

Are there any plans to bring qubes os to power9? It's a much more open platform and has a much better long term outlook than x86. I understand qubes os is open source but I'm assuming there are very low level things going on that need to be ported.
Any comments from the devs?
