Hi all,

We uploaded a new version of Qubes Windows Tools (3.2.2-3) to the
current-testing repository.

Changelog:
- - Updated Xen PV drivers to be in line with upstream
- - Private disk image is now initialized during setup making the
install process require one less reboot
- - Added handler for qubes.OpenURL qrexec service
- - Fixed a bug that could make moving user profiles to the private
image fail if there were files with ACLs explicitly disallowing SYSTEM
access
- - Fixed handling qrexec service requests for non-existing services
- - Minor log readability improvements

Hello,

thanks!

I look forward to use it soon, because Win7 is still central for my productive work flow.

Kind Regards

P.S. USBVM and audio-support would be very appreciated.

I'm not sure, but I got the error when I'm update my template with
previous installeted Windows Tools:

But after that installer run again... and Qubes Windows Tools installer
run every time when system start, but seems all work fine.

Relocating C:\Users fails consistently on my machine. Following error message is printed in the relocate-dir file:
[*] Start time: 2016-10-23 13:18:43.644
[!] FileGetAttributes(C:\Program) failed: c0000034
[*] End time: 2016-10-23 13:18:43.832

Need to give the option to allow choosing of the label, because having spaces in a label is not good, nor having a label that long. Maybe it's just the fact I'm a programmer and a developer that I think this way.

When I had the tools installed, it loaded into Seamless mode, and it proceeded to tell me that QREXEC was not installed. And also that it needed the GUI tools to me installed to use seamless mode.

Not sure if this is a bug, or you designed it to restart twice at this point by making us click the stop button?

Is there a set method to updating the windows tools in the vm itself (after updating the version in dom0 and such). When I try to install the new one over top of the old one, or to uninstall the old one first (old version was 3.2.1), windows crashes and only boots in safe mode

Essentially, it's just boot to install windows tools,  or attach the ISO.
Run the executable.
Follow the prompts.
Make sure you are NOT running in Seamless Mode when you start though.
Run in non-seamless, and turn on debugging.

Figured out the issue. I had the xen pv disk drivers installed before and when I tried to update them, windows just hung (but no BSOD). What would be the best method to install the disk drivers now? Before, I uninstalled the whole windows tools and reinstalled it since the installer doesn't give you the option to go the component selection menu if it's already installed

It does give you the option.
It says it requires a restart to complete, then it does what it has to, then restarts. After that, before login to windows, it starts the installation and does the install including option selection.

Thus, you don't uninstall then install, you just install.

After updating Qubes tool, basically all relavant devices have issues.

Qubes Video, Xen Interface, Xen PV Storage, Xen PV Network.

Config in registry incomplete or broken (Code 19)

The repair option of the QWT uninstaller does not solve the issue as well.

Any idea? Otherwise I think I'm stuck with QWT 3.2.1.2.

There has been an issue with QWT for as long as I can remember.
the Qubes Video driver has always had issues, and even though they have been reported, not all of them are easily fixed.

They fixed the multi-screen issue, in a way, not really multi-screen but it's one resolution to the issue, even though it produced another issue, it resolved one.

Storage and networking are just fine as far as I can tell, no matter the hardware. If it's an HVM then it has both, and they work, even the THVm works fine.

Maybe you can be more specific?

That's a Windows 10 error. QWT is not yet built for Win10.

I am unable to install the windows tools with the "Move user profiles" install option disabled. I get the same message reported by Eva (https://i.imgur.com/1MPczCY.png), along with, at the end, "0x80070643 - Fatal error during installation". In the log file, the action that seems to be failing is:

Applying execute package: qubes_tools_WIN7x64_3.2.2.3.msi ... arguments: ' ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT="1" MSIFASTINSTALL="7"'

The installer works if "Move user profiles" is enabled.

Maybe this is related to the "Private disk image is now initialized during setup making the install process require one less reboot" change.

Hi, I`ve updated qwt 3.2.1->3.2.2 and now it looks less stable. About 3-4 hours working ok, then app windows stop response to any actions. Switch off seamless mode on VM (no errors in VM Manager) not working too - just blink picture from Windows Desktop with 3-5 sec period. Then I got this error
