Hey all!

Using Qubes 4.0.1-rc1, been updating with qubes-dom0-update --releasever=4.0

I installed @kde-desktop-qubes, and then later uninstalled it.

This seems to have ripped out lightdm and some other parts of X/Xfce.

Now I don't have lightdm to login, and startx fails to load any video driver.

I can't seem to reinstall @xfce-desktop-qubes or similar.

Any way to find all RPMs included in that group and download on another machine to pass to the Qubes partition after opening with cryptsetup?

Or, any other solution to this seem apparent?

Thanks!

- Devin

`startxfce4` allows me to get a graphical display up, but then I completely lose all input.

Hello!

If you have access to your machines CLI, then you should be able to reinstall the packages through dnf. That is all of @kde-desktop-qubes. After that, you can removing different parts again.

I also installed KDE, and realised that I did not want it, but I noticed how much dnf wanted to remove so I just stuck with it (and am actually using KDE mainly now).

I am sorry I cannot give you more clear directions..

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I cannot install any packages from inside Qubes.
This seems to have broken the Internet connection that the net VM uses, or the connection from net VM to dom0.

You should not need a network connection to install from cache in dom0.
I do not remember the exact command, but reading the man page for dnf should provide some insight.
