Unable to connect to saved WiFi

Once I connect to a wifi network I'm unable to ever re-use that connection again. If I select the SSID it creates a 2nd (or Nth) connection to that network. It looks like network settings in xfe/gnome also don't allow any way to connect to a network, only configure it.

I'm used to KDE is there something I'm just missing in how xfe/qube manages connections?
