[Dom0] Preferred Applications Qubes 4.0:
I have accidentally blocked the way in Preferred Applications in Dom0 Web Browser and now I get every time I go to Help in any program or window an error: Failed to execute default web browser. Input / output error. Can you please give me the standard way to the correct file because I enter the Web Browser way so that Help works again. thank you in advance

There is no web browser installed in dom0. Do you maybe mean one of your
AppVMs, like "work" or "personal"? Where exactly are you hitting Help?
If you have no data you need to keep, you could delete the AppVM and
recreate it.

You can attach it to your email here if it is small enough, or upload to
an image host and link. I think I see what you mean, though. If you hit
Help on dom0 applications, it wants to open a web browser, but there
isn't one. Due to the way Qubes is set up, those Help links are not
going to work. Instead, try doing an internet search for XFCE and the
application you need help on.

no that worked everywhere, it went in Dom0 and in Virtual Machinery but I have the standard away of the file where the browser can search for Preferred Application swapped for a wrong way to the wrong file. But I can not see how the way to the right file was, so I asked, which standard path to the file is in the Preferred Application with you? I send a screenshot later when I'm home so you understand what exactly I mean;)

The default for web browser there is "no application selected", because
dom0 does not have a network connection or a web browser installed. This
also means the Help buttons in dom0 will not work. You have to use a web
browser in one of your AppVMs instead.

Please excuse me if you or someone else has Qubes 4 installed on your computer. Just take a look which standard is the right file for you in Preferred Applications. The standard way to the right broswer / file is the same for everyone. I accidentally deleted my Standar way, but you could look it up and give me the correct standard way to the file.

<*I suspect it might have something to do with Sys-net Vm or Sys-firewall vm.*>

Thank you in advance

ok, if you click Help, what happens to you? Look at my new screenshot, right below you see Help, click on it and look what happens. You have to open a Help window with explanations about the program you pressed Help in, you can press this help in any Qubes program. (But if I press Help, see the same screenshot again comes these windows as in the screenshot: "Failed to execute default web browser. 'Input / output error.) But you get a normal window with Help explanation of the program. Right? )

When I click Help, it asks me if I want to go online. This will never
work because dom0 has no network connection, but if I hit Read Online,
it then prompts me to set a Web Browser application. However, there are
no Web Browsers installed in dom0, so I then hit cancel. The reason you
are getting an input/output error is because you changed the Web Browser
application from its default of "No application selected" to "alias". At
no time do I get a window with the Help explanation.
