Networking is not working on my new installation. After boot and a couple minutes, an error window opens stating problems with Whonix. It address a difficulty in working with Tor.

I would like to look into networking but I don't know which VM(s) setup the network. My networks available are an Ethernet through the USB3 port to a docking station to a corporate/guest portal. I have used this with Debian 8 on this same laptop before loading up Qubes. The other network is wireless with a Verizon hotspot which also worked with Debian 8 on the same machine.

For example, to run the wireless network, I would like to know which VM to provide the ID and password. And what is the appropriate method in Qubes to enter these?

For me, tor works fine when sys-whonix is connected to sys-firewall, which is in turn connected to sys-net. If you want to use both network connections, you can probably also create a second sys-net and sys-firewall pair for the second (Verizon) network adapter.
VPN info should be entered in the sys-net VM.
