That is not easy to do. I managed it once, BUT it REQUIRES internet access because of the spyware that is installed within it in the base OS code.

Personally, I use Android X86, and I have 0 issues with that. And I have not had issues with it for years. There isn't the spyware that is in Remix or anything like that. So I would suggest not going for another flavour, stick to the original. (I have not tried the Android 5+ versions)

I only ever got RemixOS to work in non-guest mode twice.

Once you start it, you have the vNIC on for the network, and it doesn't show that it has network, but it does.

If you are referring to emulatnig a wNIC to turn on and off, and emulate mobile data, then that is somehtihng I will look into as I have an idea of how to do it, just have to check it for you.

Are you sure you installed?

If you don't actually install, and format and all, it won't.

if it does install, and you install the bootloader, then it starts first time every time.

Make sure to set the bootable partition flag when you partition.

In the end I managed to run the system installation but the vm crashes from booting from hard disk, maybe I was wrong the formatting system or maybe I had to give devices to vm but i guess the grub installation went to successful

HI drew, i tried to install different versions of android and all of them boot succesfully but when I try to reboot the hvm it stucks at the boot screen saying "booting from hard disk."
So i googled something and I've found that maybe the problem could be the xen hypervisor that must be changed with the nested virtualization adding two line of code in the config file, but I didn't get where to find this file and if is a vm's file or a qubes one

I never changed anything, and mine works fine. I only got that issue when I didn't install correctly OR didn't set it to be bootable.

I"ll find my resolution instructions and upload them later.

Thank you very much, with the last answer I've solved the problem.
Installing android on a hvm:
1-boot from key or hd the iso installation file (qvm-start androidvmname --cdrom = / usr / local / iso / androidx86.iso)
2-You should be presented with the Android boot menu. Use your arrow keys to go down and select "Installation - Install Android-x86 to harddisk."
3-Your next screen may look slightly different from mine, but the steps should be the same. Using your arrow keys, go down and select "Create / Modify partitions" and press Enter.
4- (DO YOU WANT TO USE GPT?) Choose "No" and press "Enter."
5 - From the next black screen, use your right arrow key to move to "New" and then press "Enter."
6-Leave it at "Primary" and press "Enter."
7-Leave "Size" default, and press "Enter" and you'll be brought back to this screen.
8-Since your cursor should be on top of the "Bootable" option, go ahead and press "Enter" to flag the partition as being bootable. Under the "Flags" option at the top, you'll now notice the "Boot" flag present.
9 - Use your right arrow key to move all the way up and down to the next line. Stop on "Write" and press "Enter." Type "yes" as a confirmation and press "Enter" again. Once it's finished, you'll be given the menu at the bottom once more, now use your right arrow key to move over to "Quit" and press "Enter."
10-select the sda1 partition
11-format sda1 in ext2 (because in my case fat32 and ext3 didnt work)
12-Are u sure to format? Yes and press enter
13-GRUB BOOTLADER? YES and press enter
14-efi grub 2? SKIP
15-Finally, choose "Yes" to make the / system directory read-write.
16-reboot at the and of installation
17-Android should now be installed on your virtual drive! Once you reboot you will be presented with the Android GRUB menu. The first option is the one to choose, so let the countdown timer hit zero or you can just press enter on it
THERE IS NO PROBLEM RELATED TO XEN VIRTUALIZATION! I've installed androidx86 r5,other version have a bug mouse problem.
this is the guide for virtualbox, it's the same for qubes HVM:http://www.rickylford.com/install-android-5-1-on-virtualbox/
