Good morning Everyone,

I am testing if Intel Nuc Hades Canyon will be able to host Qubes OS. I am trying to install, and test it from a USB- device as Claudia, and unman has suggested some time ago.
Even though Intel Virtualization, and VT-D are on I still have the IOMMU's error message appearing at the beginning of my installation. I have read some posts, and they explained that basically this model's BIOS does not support Legacy Boot because the requisite CSM module is not included. If this might be the reason ? I also have prepared an installation usb in non- csm mode but I cannot start the installation from it - the usb is not "visible" into the list of the bootable devices then.
For the preparation both bootable usbs, I have used Rufus 3.9.

Please, give a hand with this issue if you think that there are more parameters I could check into the BIOS.

Thank you, and Best Regards,

rickey

Please do us all a favor and clearly tell us what solved this. Meaning only try one thing at a time. I see a lot of posts like this. I had the error message and I can not tell you which I did to solve it. But it is time to amass a data base of what works. What causes error.

I have read that some say they started the target computer in UEFI mode. (Secure Boot) and the install simply worked.

My laptop says it will try Legacy and then UEFI mode. And I did several other things at the same time, so I do not know.
