Win7 HVM causes Qubes to hang

Hi,

I have a problem once my Win7 running in a HVM is up and running.

Situation 1:
I boot
I am running several apps in their respective Qubes
I start Win7
Everything works fine in the apps and Windows

Situation 2:
I boot
I start Win7

Problem:
- The Qubes Manager (if opened) is unresponsive, it hangs
- I cannot launch any new Qube via the menu

Once I shut down Win7 the Qubes I wanted to launch are started, the Qube Manager also reacts as it should.

Looks like something is hanging due to Win7 which is very annoying.

Ideas?

Log requests (of what exactly)?

It is somehow related to the Qubes Windows tools. I suppose the
situation 1 in your post is when you did not invoke the qubes clipboard
or sent/received any files between qubes.

Killing the Qubes service in Windows also get’s it unstuck. What I
haven’t figured out is what’s special about my and your setups. Clearly
most users do not see this problem.
