I just installed Qubes and pretty much everything works fine out of the box apart from my wifi card.

When running dmesg | grep iwlwifi I get "Detected Intel(R) Wireless N 7260, REV=0x144" and I've read on here that I should install the package iw7260-firmware. Am I right or should I install the linux-firmware package instead suggested in the FAQ?

Currrently, I can see APs but the connection always fails. Since I can't run the suggested yum command because it requires internet access I'll use another computer but which files should I download and where from? Also after I've copied the file how can I then install the package offline?

Or is there some other way to install it directly from Qubes w/o internet? I can't remember there being any option during the Qubes install process for anything related so I assumed the packages can't be installed because they are not bundled with everything else but I realize I could be wrong. Thanks!

My guess is that iw7260-firmware is what you'd need for the 7260. I
recommend searching for this, e.g., "fedora 7260" and as many
reasonable permutations as you can think of. Other Linux users have
surely experienced similar difficulties. If not, you know something's
probably wrong on your end. You might also test the wi-fi on baremetal
Fedora to see if it's a Qubes-specific problem.

Yes, you can download the packages with dnf in a different OS (e.g.,
baremetal Fedora), then transfer them (e.g., with a USB drive) to your
Qubes machine, then install them locally. The process is explained in
this thread:
