Q4.0 update question

I have several questions concerning updating Q4.

First (feature request), is there a way that dom0-update "knows" (and
communicates:) if a dom0 reboot is necessary after dom0 updates?

Second, what is best practice for qubes-updates? Usually I start all
qubes templates and do what I have to do in each one (there are scripts
for that, I know).

Last, while debia-9 updates neatly, all my feodra-26-* templates won't
update : they download the 21MB Updates file & then fails miserably with
"Failed to synchronize cache for qubes-vm-r4.0-current"
Do you experience the same? what can I do?
