I just freshly installed the os and now with every boot it hangs on the message nouveau DRM failed to create kernal channel 22. What does this mean and how to I get past that error? My computer is running with an Asus x99 delux, an Intel core i7 5960x extreme cpu, 4 4gig sticks of ddr4 corsair ram and 2evga geforce gtx 970 graphics cards. yes I know its over the top for cubes but whatever it worked fine before. Will someone please give me some answers or link me to a post with the answer? I see questions receiving multiple answers but for people like me who are new with linux are recieveing no answers and with the direction windows went I only prefer cubes os.

You need to do this:

when the computer first boots, at the grub menu, hit esc to stop the
timer, then hit e to edit the first entry on the list.

go to the line that begins with /vmlinuz-4... and at the end of that
line add: rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau nouveau.modeset=0

then hit f10 to boot.

Let me know if that works.
