Hi All,

I have a few 3 TB Internal HDD formated to NTFS with media on them and I tried to copy some data off them however the system reports they are read only i have tried connecting them to multiple VM's wth the same result.

This wasn't an issue in Qubes 3.2 I am now on Qubes 4.0

Please advise.

Kind Regards

What template are the VMs using? Are you using a sys-usb?
There are two options. The disks are mounted readonly or you dont have
permission to remove the files.
Run 'mount ' and check what options apply to the disks.(You'll see rw or
ro).
The standard templates ship with ntfs drivers that should allow for rw of NTFS
volumes.

If the volumes are mounted rw then you may have a permissions problem.
Check permission using ls -l
Try copying using sudo.
