I'm trying to reinstall the whonix-ws template following the user docs, but I keep getting an error.

In Dom0 I used:
sudo qubes-dom0-update --enablerepo=qubes-templates-community --action=reinstall qubes-template-whonix-ws

I get the following error:
---------
Last metadata expiration check: 0:38:17 ago on Tue Feb 28 21:05:57 2017.
installed package qubes-template-whonix-ws-3.0.5-201602110904.noarch not available.
Error: Nothing to do.
---------

I also tried the older method mentioned in the user docs as well.

Any help would be great since I screwed whonix up VERY well.

Try uninstalling the tmeplate then installing it as separate actions.
qubes-dom0-update hides the availability of templates that are already
installed.

The removal and reinstall did allow me to reinstall whonix, but didn't solve my overall issue. Thank you for the quick response

The reason it failed is that the same version of the package has to be
available, although in this case 3.0.5 was removed from the repo. I'm
looking into making this more flexible.
