Hi,

I think I've seen the correct window decorations after I installed
3.2RC1 (red VM gets red decoration). But for whatever reason now all the
decorations are blue. But the icon in the upper left corner of the
window decoration has the correct color. The package
plasma-breeze-qubes is installed and I have breeze selected for the
window decorations.
Any idea what is going on?

I found the reason: qubes-generate-color-palete was not running.
Btw. shouldn't application be called "qubes-generate-color-palette"?

What do you mean by "was not running"? It just generate palette and
exits. If it was started at least once, its result should persist, even
across reboots. So if you had proper decorations initially and later it
disappeared, something must have removed those files
(~/.local/share/qubes-kde/*.colors). The question is what?

Yes...

Ok, I see now that it just seems to run "once" and not continuously. I
thought it is something like a demon that will change the colors not
knowing how that feature is implemented. Originally I thought it was
some kind of nifty theme and then I did a rpm -ql plasma-breeze-qubes to
find out where it is and saw that it is some kind of program. After
starting it window decorations were rendered correctly.

The things I did was restoring dom0 from a Qubes 3.1-backup an testing
out the pre-installed themes from KDE5 (first desktop themes, then also
window. But I don't know when those files might have been removed. I
just noticed that decorations weren't rendered correctly after I had
restored some of my VMs and started really using it.

As, so if you're restored also dom0 home, it may be this. You did have
those files in 3.1...
Did you restarted system or anything like this after restoring the
backup?

Actually I am not sure. I might have not followed my own advice and
have not restarted when the problem occurred…
