AMD Ryzen + new AMD Graphic card - Qubes 3.2

Hello,

i tried to install latest Qubes iso (from 2016) and faild the Gui install hang up and the text base install won't let me insert the luks password (seems to be very old issue still exist) look here: https://github.com/QubesOS/qubes-issues/issues/1161

anyway...

amd ryzen need kernel 4.11+ and my graphic card need linux-firmware (amdgpu) within the kernel.

is there a chance for me to build qubes with qubes-build (https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/qubes-builder/) ?

do i get full upgrade iso? if i choose unstable template do i get latest kernel?

i plan to install fedora 26 minimal and build the iso and then install. any advice for me?

4.9.35-19 (in current-testing) should be compatible with Ryzen as well, so you shouldn't need 4.11 for that. No suggestions on amdgpu, but I imagine it's possible if you're handy enough. :)
As for the installer issue, the kickstart file approach should work.

I recommend not using Fedora 26 to build Qubes-OS with. I had a lot of
trouble with the qubes-builder system because of the python-sh
dependency when I got a build environment working. Something changed
from Fedora 23 (Current Qubes-OS base) to Fedora 24/25/26 with the
python-sh package and qubes-builder does not like to play well with
the newer version of python-sh. Maybe you could solve the issue with
the build system for this dependency, but I think it is easier to just
have a Fedora 23 system to build with.

Do you have a different graphics card to try the install with? If you
have an older card, you might be able to use it to get passed the
bugs, then install the needed packages for the AMD GPU, and then swap
the new card back in. I am thinking about pulling the wifi card to a
Samsung laptop to install and upgrade the driver for my wifi card,
then putting the card back in. I cannot assign the wifi card to a
netvm without dom0 hanging and having to hard reset the machine.
