Hey guys,

I cannot update dom0 or download anything from Qubes official repository.

Dom0 update or templates download will start normally, however the download process will take forever and eventually the connection will timeout.

I tried Qubes in two machines and the problem persists.

I dont have idea how to change Qubes repositories. Should I use the methods used in fedora? But, what repositories should I use? (I'm really lost here.)

I'm using Qubes 3.2.

Could you guys please give me some help?

Thanks guys,

have a great day.

cheers.

They're responding normally for me. Do you know if you are using Tor for
your updates? If so, sometimes you get a slow circuit. Try picking Restart
Tor from sys-whonix's menu.

If not, it might be your network. Do other downloads work normally?

Hey awokd,

Thanks for answering me,

1. Im not sure if Im using tor circuit. But I didn't set anything to do it. My qubes is running with the default settings and I'm not using whonix gateway as net vm.

2. I can download software for my templates normally. I just cant update them (Connections times out). Other than that, I can download anything normally from internet.

Try going to a dom0 terminal and typing "qubes-prefs". Look for your
updatevm. If it says sys-whonix, try restarting Tor and your updates
again.

If it says sys-net, I'm afraid I'm out of ideas already!

If you are still having trouble with this, you could try switching your
UpdateVM to sys-whonix instead. Usually those will be slower, but it might
work around whatever problem you are having. You can change it from either
the Qubes Global Settings GUI or "qubes-prefs updatevm sys-whonix" from
the command line, then try a regular update. You can switch it back to
sys-net if it doesn't help.
