Hi,

I installed QubesOS 3.2 RC1 and before I installed it, I cloned my templates and did a backup. I restored the clones, then I wanted to rename the Fedora 23-clone to Fedora-23.
Qubes VM Manager told that I have to remove the rpm of the template first since I can't rename a template installed by an rpm.
I uninstalled the template and when I try to rename the clone now to Fedora-23 the Manager tells me that a VM with that name under the UUID <long string> already exists. So, what now?

Ah, it looks like rpm removal didn't cleaned up all the things.

You can cleanup this with:

virsh -c xen:/// undefine fedora-23

Thanks, that was it.
Btw. when you remove a template outside the Qubes VM Manager and you
forgot for one AppVM to change the template, Qubes VM Manager will
either crash or start doesn't like you at all.
I had to re-install the template after the virsh-command, change the
forgotten AppVM, then close the manager, uninstall and run the
virsh-command (I uninstalled several times and the domain was always
still registered with virsh.
