But until we migrate dom0 to something else, we need to ship fedora
template too, because it works better for downloading dom0 updates (the
same tool resolve dependencies, yum version in Debian is much older, and
there is no dnf at all).

Sure[1][2]:
fedora-26: 1643586746 bytes
debian-9: 722214642 bytes
whonix-gw: 504932958 bytes
whonix-ws: 705727858 bytes
fedora-26, as default template for AppVMs, contains default user
applications, like Firefox, Thunderbird. Shipping a _desktop_ operating
system without web browser isn't going to work...
But maybe there is a chance to trim Fedora template slightly...
Frédéric, do you see something that could easily be done there?

That's a good question. List of packages, sorted by size is here:
https://gist.github.com/marmarek/cb9fa3d82e3aba6cd15c78854b184f10
For example I see two fonts packages (adobe-source-han-*) using together
over 70MB.

Providing two images means some more work, more testing etc, so I'd like
to avoid that. But if there will no better option, that could be done.
