More than 32 vCPU

Hello, I am trying to get Qubes to run on a Dell R810 server with 40 threads. I know Qubes allows 32 max vCPU, but was wondering if there was a GRUB or /boot solution to allow more cores that anyone has tried. Is this possible?

Where exactly did you get that limit from? Xen and Linux is built time
limited to 256 cpus.
On the other hand, we disable hyperthreading to mitigate some of the
recent Intel side-channel bugs, so you can use only one thread per core.
