Hi all,

We've uploaded Fedora 25 template for Qubes 3.2. It was already possible
to perform in-place upgrade[1], but now we also provide full template.

You can install it with:

sudo qubes-dom0-update qubes-template-fedora-25

We've tested it internally, but you can help us here too!
This is one of things to be included in Qubes 3.2.1.

Andrew, what do you think about posting this to qubes-announce in a week
or so (unless some major issues are found)?

Didn't we agree that qubes-announce is only for QSBs and new Qubes OS
releases?

Other than that, sounds good.

I switched from F24 to the new F25 template and noticed a significant
increase of memory usage when starting the same application:
F24: 1600MB
F25: 2410MB

Is F25 more memory hungry by default?

Having been using this over the weekend I've noted the following

- Noticeably slower startup of dispvm using the template compared to 24

- When an appvm is running using the template, the machine is both noticeably slower to suspend, and the wifi connection then takes noticeably longer than normal to begin to reconnect on resume (sys-net / firewall are still using fedora-24-minimal)

Are there any logs that I can provide that would be of use?

Probably yes, but maybe we can do something about it. I do see some
memory footprint, but not such drastic change as you write above.
One possible reason is that F25 ship flatpack enabled by default. This
gives you at least few all-time-running processes (see those *-portal).
Also probably some new services were introduced. Maybe not all of them
are needed in Qubes VM? We do have a long blacklist already...

Generally I'd recommend starting with a process list, looking for things
not that needed and try to a) kill, b) uninstall.
