Hopefully a quick question: is the H4 exhaust basically Fiesta donor shaped unit or was it a modified part?

Thanks

Standard off the shelf MK3 Fiesta.
The bottom half of the mould was made using the floor pan of the fiesta.

Chris

Many thanks, I'd presumed it would have been but presumptions are dangerous!

Good Morning Julian. It was always advertised as a standard Mk3 Fiesta part, but the hooks may not be in a standard position? However, I had no trouble having a replacement fitted off the shelf at my local specialist (NOT a national chain store) although he wouldn't do stainless steel as the system I took to him did indeed have the hooks in the wrong places, and he wasn't offering a cut and weld service in stainless steel.

best wishes.

I fitted a Magnex  stainless steel exhaust on mine when built and the rear hanger was in a different place - rear rather than front of the silencer I think.  I just moved the bracket

The hanger positions varied on the original Mk3 Fiesta anyway, and the Mk3.5 was probably different again.

Hi,

I bought rear break cylinders Fiesta MK2 in 15 and 17.4 mm piston size

They don’t fit into my carrier back plate

The hole in the plate is 29mm and the brake cylinders are 31.7 and 31.9mm

Is there a difference in MK1 and MK2 carrier plates?

I thought I have a MK2 XR2 1986 rear axle / brakes.

Hans
