Vault issues importing/exporting tapes

I'm currently setting up an QUADstor VTL instance to use as a mass storage backend on an archive system. However I'm running into a problem around how the VTL handles moving tapes in and around the IE slot and vault.

When bringing a tape back from vault it will bring it back directly into the library slots, rather than the IE slots. This is a problem because the backup system doesn't know the tape is in the library as it expects to ingest the tapes itself and won't let me eject it because it doesn't think its in the library. The Quadstor documentation says to eject a tape, to do it from the backup software which I can't do. Is there a way to eject the vcartridge from Quadstor itself and is there a setting so when a tape is unvaulted it goes into the IE slot rather than the library slots?

I have UseFreeSlot=0, which will put new tapes into the IE slot, but doesn't seem to effect the unvaulting process.

Please try with https://www.quadstor.com/vtlnext/quadstor-vtl-ext-3.0.61.1-rhel.x86_64.rpm and UseFreeSlot=0

When trying to insert a tape into the library if UseFreeSlot=1 (default) the first available free storage slot is used, if none is available then a free I/E port is used. The opposite behavior when UseFreeSlot=0.

However UseFreeSlot was not considered when unvaulting a tape. This behavior has now changed.
