digital_in_7 and 8 remain stuck

Hi,

I have plugged 2 switches on digital_in_7/8 but signal remains UP , if I plug the same on the digital_in_1/2 it is running perfect. 

The QS has been ordered with Top Jack = Input

I used 2 same split adapter on both inputs.

any idea ?

Send in a debugging report with QMP:

1. Plug the Quadstick into the PC
2. Start QMP
3. Wait 20 seconds
4. Click in the Transcript pane at the bottom of the window.
5. Press F1 key
6. Answer prompt to send in the debugging report
7. EXIT QMP.  Ignore any error message.
   
8. Send me an email so I know to go look for the report.

Get rid of any digital_out preference settings in your configuration spreadsheet.  They are telling the quadstick to use that connector as an output.   That Preference sheet was probably left over from the original spreadsheet.   Let me know if that doesn't work.

I delete all about digital_out in the game profile preference => same problem

I delete all about digital_out in pref.csv => same problem

But all digital_out references I found are related to 1 and 2, and the problem is only for 7 and 8

I see that if I use digital_in_7 only, using a switch with no split cable, the fonction is stuck always activated. also with nothing plugged into the jack entry.

Digital out 1 and 2 are the same jack as digital in 7 and 8.

What do the top two green LEDs do when you operate the switches?  They show the status of the inputs.

Okay sorry now I understand Out 1 2 is same connector as In 7 8

mine is writen "In 7 8"

The side LEDs operate when I clic In 1 2 but nothing light on when I clic In 7 8

If the leds do not light, there is a hardware problem.

This is what happens with the Digital Input Test : In 1 / 2 OK, Lip OK, In 7 / 8 always ON, event with no switch plugged.

any thing I can check on the hardware if I open the box ?

If there is a hardware problem, it is probably not going to be something you can fix in the field.

Remove the back cover and send in a picture of the circuit board.

That one has a mistake.  It was built wrong.  It has some parts for an output version that should not be on one for inputs.

That port won't work for either input or outputs.

It is not something that you can fix, it would need to be returned so I can change it.

That should never have made it out of testing.  I apologize.

You've got a new order coming up in about a week or two.  It could go back with that.

You've also got another one coming up a couple of weeks later.  It could go back with either.

Can you  tell me the order number or serial number for that unit?
