Hello friends,
I am trying to set up a quadstick for a new employee on our team, it's for his work PC and it the input is lagging and dropping randomly.
I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting this, I am planning to set up a new PC for this person, however, the one I've got him on is brand new out of the box, so I'm curious if this is a common issue?

Its a modern Lenovo with windows 11.
Thank you!

What is " dropping randomly. ?"  Describe that.

Is this a laptop?   Turn off "Selective Suspend"

Certainly,
The cursor seems to randomly slow and stutter from time to time, and then occasionally the whole USB connection was dropping. Power management does sound like a good place to start. I did end up upgrading the PC to a HP pro with slightly more processing power. I'm not sure if it's just Lenovo struggling, or if the HP has better power management, but for whatever reason the HP seems to not have the same issue.

So for now I think this issue is resolved but thank you very much for the response.
Cheers,
DJ

That sounds like the PC trying to save power.  It sees the flash drive and tries to force it to suspend to save power, not realizing that the same device has other functions.

There is a way to temporarily disable the flash if turning off selective suspend doesn't work.
